Olympics 2024 Spotlight: Donna Vekić
The 2024 Olympic Games are now just around the corner, and soon the world will descend upon Paris to witness the spectacle. Tennis as an Olympic sport has appeared since the inception of the games, but was withdrawn after 1924. As a full medal sport, tennis didn't make a comeback until Seoul 1988. Since then, some of the world's best tennis players have represented their countries in each edition of the games. This year, the tennis tournaments will be held from the 27th July until the 4th August, at the Stade Roland Garros and will cover five medal events: singles and doubles for both men and women as well as mixed doubles.
One player we are particularly excited to support this year is Donna Vekic, who is representing Croatia at the games as well as showcasing Uomo Sport / Donna Sport on this massive global stage. With four WTA singles titles under her belt and a career high ranking of no. 19, Donna is a force to be reckoned with. Not only is she a titan on the court, but equally off the court, she personifies glamour and elegance, qualities that resonate strongly with our story. It is a combination of these things as well as her perseverance, dedication and talent that make her the perfect ambassador for Uomo Sport / Donna Sport.
