Donna Vekic wins round of 16 at Wimbledon - Through to the Quarter Finals
What a first week at Wimbledon it was for Donna Vekic and team Uomo Sport / Donna Sport. Having progressed into the second round, Vekic faced Andreeva and won in two straight sets, meeting Ukraine's Yastremska in round three with a very close first two sets, before victory was finally achieved in a wipe-out 6-1 win in the third set. In the round of sixteen on Sunday, an even more epic battle commenced, seeing Vekic and Paula Badosa go head to head. After three rain suspensions, it was Donna that sealed the win. This will be a career first for the Uomo Sport / Donna Sport ambassador and Croatian number one, who has now reached the quarter finals for the first time at Wimbledon.

This is an epic moment for Vekic in her career. What has now been clearly cemented is that she is a weapon on grass, having made the finals at the Bad Homburg Open just prior to Wimbledon and now she is through to the quarter finals tomorrow at the All England Club. We certainly have loved watching her succeed, in style.
